Robin Fleming

I have lived and worked in Papua New Guinea for 42 years with my working career with BSP Financial Group Limited involving many Executive roles including General Manager Corporate & International, Group Chief Risk Officer and the final 9 1/2 years as Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director. I was a director of BSP Financial Group Limited, Chairman of BSP Life Fiji Limited and a director on all subsidiaries across the Group, which were involved in banking, asset finance, life insurance and a Fintech startup.

My work with BSP permitted me to be involved in direct community support by way of extension of banking services to all areas of PNG, and indirectly via BSP’s community project program. I was also fortunate enough to be co-chair of Bel Isi, which is an entity specializing in support facilities, including a safe house for victims of gender-based violence, and whose partners included BSP, Steamships, DFAT, and others.

I was awarded the Companion of the Star of Melanesia in 2015 for services to banking in Papua New Guinea.
